Growing Future Leaders

The annual Practical Action Learning Event is hosted in different Practical Action regional offices each year, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders within the organisation, and was hosted in 2023 at Warwickshire University in the UK.

Key Features:

  • Two-day event with travel and overnight accommodation.

  • Expert-led Sessions providing valuable insights from experienced leaders and managers.

  • Hybrid participation facilitated both in-person and online participation, ensuring wider accessibility.

  • Simultaneous interpretation ensured that Latin American participants could engage in discussions.

  • Lunchtime games, energisers, and a photo exhibit foster connection and engagement among participants.

🚗

→ Coordinated transport logistics and ensured all participants had overnight accommodations

💻

→ Oversaw the tech setup for hybrid participation, ensuring that virtual and in-person attendees could engage effectively

🔥

→ Sourced and managed the interpretation services, ensuring that all participants could access the content

→ Ensured the participant’s needs were met and the event was structured for maximum impact

  • “Amy helped us to organise and run our first cross-Alliance 'Learning Event' for over 80 people from more than 20 countries - including simultaneous Spanish-English interpretation and an option for remote participation. Always calm and collected, Amy has amazing attention for detail and is a born organiser! She was a source of wisdom and pragmatic advice before the event and was indispensable during the event itself - she ensured it ran like clockwork! The result? Lots of happy participants (and session leads) and one very relieved Knowledge Manager :) I would highly recommend Amy for any event - big or small, in-person or online.”
